Lori Taylor is a clinical dietitian, professor and author with over 25 years of experience.  In 2018 she was diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis (AIG), and since that time, has been combing the research to build a framework for treatment of AIG, the first part of which was published earlier this year.   In addition to researching the disease, Lori is one of the administrators and moderators for a large US-based Facebook patient group for AIG and pernicious anemia.

Lori trained as a biochemist at the University of California at Berkeley, worked as a molecular biologist and holds master’s degrees in education from Stanford University, and in nutrition from Bastyr University, Seattle. Lori has specialized training in functional digestive disorders through the Institute for Functional Medicine and has held certifications as a specialist in oncology and in nutrition support from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. 

Lori is a developer, past chair and faculty of the graduate program in Integrative and Functional Nutrition at Saybrook University, California and has taught clinical nutrition to medical students at Bastyr University. She is a founding member of Coupeville’s Farm to School program and maintains a consulting practice, Save Your Plate.
