NICE Guidelines for B12d published 6 March 2024 – Guidelines and our response
After months (some would say years) of careful lobbying, NICE, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, has prepared and published now guidelines for the diagnosis and management of Vitamin B12 deficiency (B12d).
NICE guideline [NG239] – ‘Vitamin B12 deficiency in over 16s: diagnosis and management’ was published yesterday, Wednesday 6th March 2024
We contributed, both as B12d, and as a member of the B12-Alliance (a group of organisations involved with ensuring that B12 deficiency is recognised, diagnosed and treated).
The guidelines represent a big step forward, and the work of the NICE team and all those who contributed is to be commended. Read our considered response to this in cluB-12’s B12-Alliance’s responses:
